Art and Halloween Combine at The 8th Annual October Spooktacular
From September 28 through November 1, head down to Le Chat Noir on 738 Ellis Street to catch the enchanting array of spooky art at the 8th Annual October Spooktacular. Comprising over 25 artists, this gallery exhibition promises to stir the imagination and tickle your spine. Don’t miss the costumed reception on October 18 from 6-8 p.m.. Wear your best costume and mingle with fellow art lovers!
Family-Friendly Fun at the Fall Festival
Looking for some wholesome family fun? On October 19, Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta will host a lively Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. This event will feature trunk-or-treating, pumpkin and face painting, a costume contest, carnival games, live music, and even bouncy houses! A special play area will be available for little ones aged 3 and younger to enjoy.
A Mad Scientist and More at the Fall Fission Festival
If you’re in the mood for some science-y Halloween fun, then don’t miss the Fall Fission Festival at the Savannah River Site Museum in Aiken, happening on the same day from 1-4 p.m. There will be a “mad scientist” performing crazy experiments, food trucks galore, a DJ spinning tunes, and a costume contest. Plus, there’s a quiet zone with STEM books for those needing a bit of a break from the excitement.
Freaky Fun for Adults
For the 18-and-over crowd, get ready for FREAK-OWEEN on October 25 at Back to Nature Garden Center. From 6-10 p.m., attendees can enjoy a “freak show”, shop from local vendors offering spooky crafts, and enter a costume contest for a chance at a cash prize. Admission is free, so come prepared for a good fright!
Lots of Activities Leading Up to Halloween
Looking to celebrate Halloween earlier? After a fun-filled day at Kroc Fest at the Salvation Army Kroc Center on October 26, where activities will include a trunk-or-treat, bounce houses, and much more, you can join in the festivities at the Goshen Fall Festival right after from 4-6:30 p.m.. Montmorenci will be celebrating too with their Fall Festival on the same day from 5:30-8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Montmorenci.
Experience Halloween with a Musical Twist
On October 27, plan to attend Halloween at the Symphony at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center. Tickets are a steal at $33 for general admission and just $10 for students, so grab your friends and enjoy a spooky musical evening!
