Augusta, GA, is set to come alive with the buzz of local shops and creative delights on November 30th. It’s the 4th Annual Small Business Saturday (SBS) Crawl, and it promises to be an exciting day filled with treasure hunts, tasty treats, and community spirit!
This year, the event runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, aiming to encourage residents and visitors alike to shop local and discover unique gems in downtown Augusta. John Porter, the Director of Downtown Soul City, is ecstatic about what’s in store. “We’re thrilled to include several restaurants and cafés in the crawl, so attendees can enjoy a feast for both their stomachs and their shopping bags,” he says.
Visitors can look forward to interacting with 15 local businesses, each offering special deals and fun activities. It’s a perfect opportunity to find those heartfelt holiday gifts while supporting the local economy.
Excited yet? You should be! The adventure begins at Augusta & Co., located at 1010 Broad Street. The first 150 shoppers will receive a complimentary locally designed canvas tote and a crawl map to help you navigate the day’s festivities. Plus, each participating business will contribute items and gift cards for various gift baskets that attendees can enter to win for every purchase made!
Sarah Childers, the Director of Destination Experiences at Destination Augusta, encourages everyone to engage with the event. “Shopping local not only provides thoughtful gifts for your loved ones but also bolsters our unique local businesses and the vibrant character of our community,” she emphasizes. After all, when you choose to support local, you’re helping to keep the dollars circulating right here in Augusta.
Get ready to explore a variety of delightful spots! This year’s participating merchants feature:
In an effort to foster a sense of community, Downtown Soul City offers memberships for just $4.99/month for individuals and $9.99 for families. With membership, you’ll snag VIP access to quarterly events and a guaranteed tote bag for this Saturday’s crawl, adding an extra layer of excitement to your experience!
For those keen on supporting even more, corporate and event sponsorships are available. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to John Porter at the Downtown Development Authority.
Mark your calendars for this fantastic shopping spree that not only strengthens our local economy but also brings the community together. The Small Business Saturday Crawl is more than just a day of shopping; it’s a chance to connect with your neighbors, support local businesses, and maybe even have a little fun along the way!
