North Augusta Announces New Dates for Rescheduled Events

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. – The city of North Augusta has officially announced the new dates for several events that were postponed due to recent weather. These changes come as a relief to the community, eager to participate in local gatherings that celebrate the city’s spirit and unity.

Upcoming Events

One of the significant events is the “Tourism Reimagined Celebration”, which will take place at SRP Park on August 13 at 6:15 PM. This celebration aims to highlight the potential of tourism in the area, with North Augusta’s Mayor Briton Williams expected to deliver a “special announcement” during the event. Residents can look forward to an exciting evening as the Augusta Greenjackets will be playing against the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, providing a perfect blend of sports and community spirit. The first 1,000 attendees at the event will receive a limited edition Ronald Acuna MVP Bobblehead, adding an extra incentive to join the festivities.

Changes to Concert Details

Additionally, the free live concert from the “803 Night” featuring Cody Webb has been rescheduled to August 17 at 3:30 PM. This concert will take place at the newly renovated Sharon Jones Amphitheater, which has been a focal point for community gatherings. The postponement of this concert has heightened the anticipation among fans and families, promising a lively atmosphere and great music amid a beautiful natural setting.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Update

The initial ribbon-cutting ceremony for the renovated Sharon Jones Amphitheater was also postponed. While a new date for this significant event has yet to be confirmed, city officials are eager to celebrate this upgraded venue in the near future. Interested individuals can keep an eye on the Visit North Augusta Facebook page for updates, ensuring they won’t miss out on this exciting development.

Community Involvement

The city’s tourism officials emphasized the importance of these events in bringing the community together. They offer residents a chance to engage with one another and enjoy the revitalized features of North Augusta. With the weather previously impacting these gatherings, the new dates have provided a second chance for fun and connection.

In conclusion, North Augusta is gearing up for two exciting events that promise to bring joy and community spirit back to the heart of the city. The upcoming “Tourism Reimagined Celebration” and the rescheduled Cody Webb Concert showcase the resilience and vibrancy of North Augusta.
