New Family-Owned Eatery ‘Beefed Up’ Opens in North Augusta, Offering Unique Burgers and Hearty Lasagna

Exciting New Food Stop in North Augusta: Beefed Up!

Hey there, North Augusta! If you’re in the mood for mouthwatering burgers, crispy fries, and even hearty lasagna, you’re in luck! A new eatery, Beefed Up, has just opened its doors, and trust us, it’s worth checking out. Located at 1696 Knox Avenue, in the spot where Le Bodega used to be, Beefed Up is here to shake things up a bit in the local food scene.

Meet the Family Behind the Flavors

Owner Krista Broughton runs the show, along with her three sons, and they couldn’t be more excited about this new chapter. Krista’s son, Matthew Papaianni, who also helps manage the business, dreamed up the concept of Beefed Up. The family previously gained a loyal following with their food truck, which rolled into town back in July 2020, serving up delicious meals to workers at local employers like Bridgestone.

“The food truck was getting overcrowded, so we knew it was time to expand,” Krista shared. “It’s been a year in the making, and we’re thrilled to finally be here!”

What’s on the Menu? Oh, Just Some Deliciousness!

Beefed Up is not just another burger joint. Oh no, they’re serving up some creative spins on old favorites. The menu includes the infamous Bowboy Burger, loaded with chili, jalapeños, bacon, and cheese, and the double-layered Beefed Up Burger – a treat for any serious burger lover! If hot dogs are more your thing, you can’t miss their tasty Chili Cheese Dog.

Vegetarians, fret not! There are tasty options for you too, including a delicious veggie burger and a classic grilled cheese. And get this – starting in December, they’ll be introducing homemade lasagna! Krista plans to offer it in individual foil containers, so it’s perfect for families looking for a hearty meal to take home.

A Place Where Community Meets Quality

One of the driving forces behind Beefed Up’s success is the focus on quality ingredients. Krista emphasized, “We don’t want to be like any other fast food chain out there. I want it to be fresh and fun.” It’s this kind of passion for food that makes customers want to keep coming back for more.

How did they come up with the name Beefed Up? Krista mentioned that it was inspired by her three sons, who are all, well, quite beefy! “Plus, the portion sizes are big, so it just fits!” she laughed.

Looking to the Future

As for the future of Beefed Up, Krista has big plans. The flagship restaurant is just the beginning; she hopes to expand their menu even further, with ideas like stuffed burgers and new hot dog styles. And in case you’re wondering, there are dreams of launching more food trucks – potentially five in total by the end of 2025!

Krista encourages anyone with a passion for cooking and a willingness to work hard to pursue their dreams. “If you really want to do it, go for it! But be prepared for a lot of hard work,” she advised.

Grab Your Friends and Family!

So, whether you’re grabbing a bite on your lunch break or looking for a relaxed dinner spot, Beefed Up has you covered. Stop by, support local business, and treat yourself to some of the best burgers and Italian food in town!
