Aiken, SC – The city of Aiken celebrated the grand opening of its third LuLu’s Car Wash on August 2, 2024. Located at 3001 Whiskey Road, the new site aims to offer locals a speedy and efficient car wash experience. With a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the event drew a crowd eager for free car washes, complimentary lunch from Vesto’s Kitchen, and exclusive promotional merchandise.
During the opening event, early visitors enjoyed lively music courtesy of 93.9 BOB FM radio and had the chance to win tickets to Keith Sweat’s upcoming concert in Augusta on October 18. The first 100 customers who signed up for a new Unlimited Wash Club membership received a special introductory rate of just $10 per month for the first four months.
According to Trenton Dierkes, the grand opening and marketing manager for LuLu’s parent company, Mammoth Holdings, the new car wash features state-of-the-art technology and equipment. “We’ve created a shiny, new penny,” Dierkes stated while highlighting the efficiency of the express service offered. Customers can expect to complete their wash in about three to four minutes from the moment they drive onto the site.
LuLu’s Car Wash already has two other locations in Aiken, situated on East Pine Log Road and Richland Avenue West. Dierkes mentioned that each of the LuLu’s establishments typically employs between 11 to 14 staff members to assist in providing top-notch service.
“LuLu’s is well-loved here in the Aiken area, and we sure love operating here. We’re excited to continue growing here in Aiken,” said Marty Donat, the director of new unit growth for LuLu’s, in a recent statement. The Aiken Chamber of Commerce played a significant role in supporting the ribbon-cutting ceremony, with notable attendees including Chamber President and CEO Jim Tunison and Aiken County Council Chairman Gary Bunker.
Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Mammoth Holdings operates over 140 conveyor car washes across nearly 20 states under various brand names, including Coastal Carwash, Finish Line Car Wash, Mr. Squeaky Car Wash, and Suds Car Wash. The company was founded by Gary Dennis and Chip Hackett in 2002 and has made significant strides in the car wash industry since then.

The opening of this new LuLu’s location not only provides residents with a convenient option for car cleaning but also contributes to the local economy by creating jobs and enhancing the community’s service offerings. With a strong commitment to providing quick and quality service, LuLu’s aims to be a go-to destination for car owners in Aiken.
The positive reception from the community and the successful launch of the Southside location suggest that LuLu’s Car Wash will continue to thrive in Aiken, further solidifying its presence and brand loyalty in the area.
