Exciting Resource Fair to Support Hurricane Helene Recovery in Augusta

Exciting Resource Fair in Augusta to Help Hurricane Helene Victims!

Hey Augusta! If you’ve been affected by the recent Hurricane Helene, there’s some good news on the horizon. Paine College is stepping up to lend a hand with a special recovery resource fair happening this Thursday. Mark your calendars for December 12, because you won’t want to miss this fantastic opportunity!

Where and When is the Fair?

The fair will take place at the Candler Library, located at 1255 Druid Park Avenue. It all gets started from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., so you have plenty of time to swing by after lunch. The first segment is dedicated to presentations from 1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., followed by a chance to meet with various organizations offering support from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Who Will Be There?

Over a dozen organizations will be present, each providing different types of assistance. Whether you’re looking for housing support, food assistance, or emotional guidance, there’s bound to be something here for everyone affected by the hurricane. It’s a real community effort to help each other out during tough times!

Why Should You Attend?

First off, the event is completely free and open to the public! That means you can bring your friends, family, and anyone you know who’s in need of help. It’s a perfect way to connect with resources and find out what’s available to you as you navigate recovery.

Attending this fair is not just about finding help; it’s also about community. It’s a chance to meet others who are going through similar challenges and to share experiences. You never know; you might find a new friend or connection while you’re there!

What Can You Expect?

The presentations will cover a range of topics, designed to help you understand what resources are out there and how to access them. From local nonprofits to government assistance programs, there are many options available.

During the second part of the fair, you’ll have the chance to walk around and talk to representatives from different organizations. This direct interaction can be incredibly beneficial as you can ask questions and get immediate answers. Plus, it’s a great way to learn more about what each organization can do to assist you.

So, What’s Next?

Make sure you spread the word about this fair! It’s not just for those who’ve been hit hard by Hurricane Helene; anyone in the community who wants to help out, learn, or just find support is encouraged to attend. You could be the reason someone finds the help they need!

Remember to grab a friend or family member and head over to Candler Library this Thursday, December 12, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There’s a positive vibe in the air as the community comes together in the spirit of recovery. Let’s build back stronger, Augusta!
