Festivities Kickoff with Thanksgiving Delight

Though Thanksgiving has passed, the spirit of giving carries on. This Thursday, November 28, First Baptist Church of Wagener, located at 162 Main St. N., will be serving a free Thanksgiving Dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.. No need to bring anything—just a hearty appetite! Remember, to reserve a spot, give them a call at 803-564-5661.

Turkey Trot for a Cause

Also on the same day, join the community for the 13th Annual Turkey Trot 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run at Citizens Park. Registration fees start at just $15 for the fun run and go up to $25 for the chip-timed 5K. With proceeds benefiting Toys for Tots, it’s a fun way to burn some calories and spread joy. Don’t miss the packet pick-up starting at 7 a.m.!

Time for Music and Mirth

As we swing into December, the 4 Cats in the Doghouse jazz band will be performing every Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Willcox—a perfect setting to unwind with friends or family over some smooth tunes. Meanwhile, mark your calendars for December 3. Join the Aiken Symphony Orchestra for their Home for the Holidays concert and bask in the sounds of festive music that encapsulates the essence of the season.

A Holiday Showcase You Won’t Want to Miss

On December 6 and 7, the 54th Annual Christmas Craft Show will transform the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center into a holiday wonderland. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., browse a delightful assortment of handcrafted goods—this event is not to be missed!

Parades, Lights, and More!

How about some holiday cheer? Join in the annual Aiken Christmas Parade on December 8 at 2 p.m. in downtown Aiken! Afterward, don’t forget about the Festival of Trees, which begins on December 6 and will have adorable trees on display until January 4. It’s a stunning view you won’t want to miss, especially with the official tree lighting at 4 p.m. on December 6!

Welcoming New Year with Joy

As December rolls to a close, join in the exciting Noon Year’s Eve Party at the Aiken County Public Library on December 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This children’s event features fun activities, snacks, and even dancing—what a fabulous way to ring in the new year!
