On Friday, Nov. 15, join the Aiken Master Gardeners for a unique lunchbox lecture at Millbrook Baptist Church from noon to 1 p.m.. Speaker Charlotte Wiedenman will take you on an adventure with “The Tea Thief: A swashbuckling tale…” Don’t miss it!
Later on Friday night, get ready for a soulful concert! David Phelps will grace the stage at the Imperial Theater starting at 7 p.m.. Whether you’re a fan of his music or just looking for a great evening out, grab your tickets ranging from $22 to $70 at davidphelps.com.
On Saturday evening, Nov. 16, join Aiken Interfaith Partners for an evening filled with music, verse, and prayer at First Baptist Church starting at 7 p.m.. Admission is free, and light refreshments will be served. It’s a lovely chance to connect with the community!
Also on Saturday, stop by St. Paul Lutheran Church between 4-6 p.m. for a Coffeehouse event benefiting hurricane victims. Enjoy great music from local artists while sipping on delicious coffee and tea — all provided at no charge! Donations will be collected to help those impacted by Hurricane Helene. A feel-good event to uplift those in need!
If you’re in the mood for shopping, head to the Community Yard Sale and Vendor Market at Horse Creek Academy from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Alternatively, you can also find treasures at the Holiday Craft Fair at Gregg Park Civic Center from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Expect a wide array of vendors featuring jewelry, art, and gifts!
The Cruise-In Extravaganza at Aiken Rehabilitation and Care Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday will include a live DJ, face painting, a bounce house, and even hot dogs! It’s a perfect outing for families. Don’t forget to swing by First Christian Church for their Trash & Treasure Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – you might just find what you’re looking for!
For book lovers, the Let’s Talk About Discussion series continues at the Aiken County Public Library. This month’s book is The Color Purple. Watch the film adaptation on Saturday at 12:30 p.m., and join the discussion led by Dr. Matt Miller at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Last but not least, mark your calendars for the Turkey Trot 5K and Fun Run on Thursday, Nov. 28, at Citizens Park. It’s a fantastic way to get moving and support Toys for Tots! Register before prices go up after Nov. 25.
