Medicare Made Easy!

Mark your calendars for a very informative event! On Tuesday, November 5, the City of Aiken Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department will host a 4L: Living, Loving, Lifelong Learning Series lecture. The topic? Medicare 101: Medicare/Medicaid/Veteran Benefits Made Simple! This is perfect for anyone needing a clearer understanding of their health benefits. The event kicks off at 11 a.m. at the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior & Youth Center located at 841 Edgefield Ave. N.W.. A small fee of $5 is required, and registration is essential! Weekly Gatherings & Support

If you’re looking to connect, consider attending the Awesome Aiken Al-Anon group meeting happening every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at First Christian Church, or check out the Nar-Anon Aiken For Comfort Family Group on Tuesdays at St. John’s Methodist Church. These are great ways to share and support one another in our community!

Artistic Pursuits

Attention all art lovers and poetry aficionados! A exciting event happening on Wednesday, November 6 is the Southern Voices Poetry Anthology lecture led by Dr. Tom Mack and Andrew Geyer, starting at 11 a.m.. It will take place at 139 Newberry St. S.W. and is free to the public. A perfect opportunity to gain insight into the local art scene!

Game On!

For those who love cards, the ACBL Sectional Bridge Game happens at the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior and Youth Center every Monday and Wednesday at 1 p.m.. Plus, a free bridge lesson is available starting at 11:30 a.m.. Grab your friends and test your skills!

The Savannah River Site Museum

Culture calls from the Savannah River Site Museum! Located at 224 Laurens St. S.W., it is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Saturday, featuring fascinating exhibits related to the Cold War. Best of all? Admission is free!

Let’s Talk and Color!

Join in on the fun with our Coloring for Grownups event on November 7 and 21 at the Aiken County Public Library.
