Sunny Skies and Community Events in Aiken

Aiken is buzzing with excitement as the weather warms up just right for a series of community gatherings and cultural performances! With mainly clear skies and a comfortable low of 64°F, it’s the perfect weekend to step outside, enjoy some fresh air, and engage with your neighbors.

Enjoy Music Under the Stars

First up, mark your calendars for a musical treat! The Eastwind Band is set to take the stage at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, at Life Choices located at 130 E. Pine Log Road. Sponsored by Aiken Christian Church, this concert promises to lift your spirits and get your feet tapping. If you’re in the mood to give back, a love offering of baby shampoo, lotion, wipes, or diapers is greatly appreciated. So bring along a friend, and enjoy an afternoon filled with good vibes and great music!

A Fascinating Moth Encounter

Next, if you’re a nature enthusiast, you won’t want to miss the upcoming meeting of the Butterfly Monarchy Club at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 27, in the Faith Center at St. John’s Methodist Church, located at 104 Newberry St. N.W. Honoring Service and Tradition

The Aiken Military Officers Association is also hosting an evening meeting on Wednesday, September 11, at 6 p.m. at Newberry Hall. With guest speaker Mike Morris, an Emmy-winning TV reporter, the event will focus on uniquely inspiring stories from the field. Reservations are necessary, so don’t delay!

Golfing and Reunion Fun

Golf fans will want to participate in the Lions for Sight Dick Flynt Golf Outing on Monday, September 23.
