As the holiday season approaches, North Augusta is gearing up for its cherished tradition: the Christmas Tour of Homes. Kicking off on December 6th and running through December 7th, this year’s tour will whisk guests through some of the coziest, most beautifully decorated homes in the area. Each home tells a unique story, reflecting the heart and spirit of the season, making it an event you won’t want to miss!
This year, the home of Barry and Frances Koon will steal the spotlight. Nestled in the lovely Rapids subdivision, their residence is a stunning blend of warmth and charm—just like the couple themselves! Both accomplished entertainers, the Koons love to host family gatherings during the holidays, and their spacious home is the perfect backdrop for creating memories.
Their house features a delightful sunroom where Barry loves to kick back and catch his favorite sports games, all while adding a festive air to family celebrations. Frances, on the other hand, insists that her favorite spot is the kitchen, where she crafts delicious meals that bring everyone together. “It’s all about family for us,” Frances shares, and you can just feel the love that fills their home!
The tour kicks off on Friday evening from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM and continues on Saturday from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The Koons’ home is just one of five stunning residences featured this year. Other homes include the charming abodes of James Vance and Kyle West, Joel and Lynda Ozburn in Hammond’s Ferry, Gregory and Sara Brown on West Forest Avenue, and Charles and Nancy Eubank in The Colony. Each home showcases unique decor and the holiday spirit!
But the fun doesn’t stop with the house tours! Guests can also pop by the Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta to sip on refreshments and enjoy the sounds of light holiday music wafting through the air. It’s a great way to get into the holiday spirit while supporting a fantastic cause!
Ticket sales are already underway! You can grab your advance tickets for $25 until 2 PM on December 6th. Just a heads-up: everyone attending the tour needs a ticket—yes, even the little ones! You can snag tickets at local spots such as CommuniGraphics, Parks Pharmacy, and the Arts and Heritage Center. If you prefer to purchase online, just a tiny convenience fee of $3 will apply, bringing the price to $28. If you wait until the day of the tour, tickets will be available for $30 on-site.
Every ticket purchased helps fund scholarships for local students, making this event not just festive, but meaningful too! For more details on the tour, including how you can get involved, visit www.natourofhomes.org.
So, mark your calendars and prepare to step into a world of holiday magic right here in North Augusta! Whether you’re a long-time local or just passing through, this delightful event is sure to warm your heart and spread cheer among family and friends.
