Hey there, Aiken residents! Mark your calendars for an event that’s sure to warm your hearts and get you in the festive spirit. This Sunday, November 17th, the talented all-women’s a cappella group, M’Aiken Music, will light up the Aiken County Historical Museum with their enchanting Beatles Holiday Tribute concert. So, gather your friends and family for an afternoon of delightful music!
The concert kicks off at 3 p.m. sharp, right at the lovely Aiken County Historical Museum located at 433 Newberry St. S.W.. And guess what? It’s absolutely free! Yes, you heard that right — a fantastic afternoon of music at zero cost. You can’t beat that!
If you’ve ever found yourself humming along to Beatles classics, you’re in for a treat! M’Aiken Music has a passion for the timeless tunes of The Fab Four, and they’re bringing their own special twist by performing a captivating a cappella rendition of these beloved songs. Group member Amy Patheja mentioned, “We really enjoy Beatles music, and we thought it could be fun doing a cappella.” She also added that while some of the lyrics are a bit challenging, they certainly add to the charm.
As part of their festive theme, the group will even include Paul McCartney’s classic holiday hit, “Wonderful Christmastime,” into their performance. This song, written after McCartney left The Beatles, is a perfect segue into the holiday music they plan to share. It’s all about spreading joy, especially after the tough times many have faced lately. “We just thought we’d try to make people happy,” Patheja shared. “Between the hurricane and everything else, we’ll try to cheer people up with some happy music and get them in the holiday spirit.”
This dedicated group of seven women has been harmonizing together since 2010. Their love for music and passion for performance shines through in every concert they give. With a commitment to celebrating the magic of music, these women are on a mission to bring joy to the community, one note at a time!
So, if you’re looking for a fun way to kick off the holiday season and escape into the wonderful world of The Beatles, why not head out to this free concert? It promises to be an uplifting experience filled with beautiful harmonies and classic tunes that everyone knows and loves.
Don’t miss your chance to experience this delightful musical tribute! Gather your loved ones and get ready for an afternoon filled with warmth, laughter, and, of course, spectacular music. It’s the perfect way to start the holiday season!
