We’re reaching out to the kind-hearted folks of Aiken, South Carolina, today regarding a tense incident that took place in our community. It was early Sunday morning, around 7:05 a.m., when an attempted armed robbery unfolded at the Circle K convenience store located at 702 Silverbluff Road. The Aiken Department of Public Safety is actively seeking the public’s assistance to identify two suspects involved in this alarming incident.
On that fateful morning, a male and female suspect entered the store and threatened the clerk with a knife. As you can imagine, this would be a frightening situation for anyone working there. According to reports, the suspects forced the clerk into the back of the store, where she managed to find a moment of peace by locking herself in an office. In a heroic act of quick thinking, she called 911 to seek help.
Not wanting to stick around after their plan fell apart, the suspects hurriedly fled the scene. Thankfully, no one was hurt in this alarming event, but it certainly rattled the community.
As residents of Aiken, we all know how important it is to look out for each other. The Aiken Department of Public Safety is urging anyone with information about this attempted robbery to come forward. If you have any clues or saw something suspicious around that time, your input could be invaluable in tracking down these suspects.
