Tragic Car Crash in Edgefield County Claims Life of Aiken Woman
Edgefield County, SC – A fiery collision on November 10th has left the community in shock after an accident between two vehicles resulted in the untimely death of a local woman. The crash occurred around 3:35 p.m. on Plum Branch Road, just near the intersection with Morgan Busey Road.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper Gary Miller, the incident began when the driver of a 2004 Toyota Sienna van failed to stop at a stop sign. This careless move led to a critical collision with a 2003 Toyota Camry. The consequences were severe, sending a ripple of despair throughout the small community.
A Devastating Loss
Sadly, the accident resulted in one fatality, as Rupal Patel, 52, from Aiken, was pronounced dead at the scene. This heartbreaking news has struck a chord with residents in Aiken, who remember Patel not only for her warmth but also as a member of the community.
The incident didn’t stop there; it also left eleven others injured. Both the driver and two passengers of the Camry were promptly transported to a local hospital, according to Trooper Miller.
