This week, Aiken is buzzing with enthusiasm as the annual Top Docs event takes center stage at Newberry Hall, honoring the incredible medical professionals who serve our community. The event showcases the talent and dedication of healthcare providers across the area, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for residents to express their gratitude. From cardiologists to general surgeons, this event acknowledges the wide range of specialties that keep Aiken healthy.
And there’s even more good news! Nominations are officially underway for the 2025 Aiken’s Choice Top Docs. From now until November 22, residents can submit their nominations online, highlighting the doctors who have made a positive impact on their lives. It’s a simple way to give back to those who work tirelessly to ensure our well-being.
How It Works
So, how exactly can you get involved? Nominating a doctor is just the first step. After the nomination period closes, the top three contenders in each category will move on to the voting phase, which starts on November 27 and runs until December 23. It’s your chance to vote for your favorite healthcare providers and show your support!
With categories covering everything from dentists to chiropractors and more, there’s a place for every medical professional to shine. Once the votes are tallied, winners and finalists will be announced on February 22, 2025, adding excitement to the countdown leading to the big celebration.

The festivities don’t stop at the announcement. A grand celebration is planned at Newberry Hall on February 25, 2025, where the winners will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to healthcare in the area. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase soon, and everyone is invited to join in the fun!
A Special Focus on Medical Professionals
This year, the Top Docs initiative has taken a thoughtful turn. Instead of incorporating Top Docs voting with Aiken’s Choice voting—as was done previously—the events have been separated. This change aims to enhance the recognition for our medical heroes, allowing them to enjoy a well-deserved spotlight without the usual competition from other local categories.
“That’s how we used to do it because we wanted the doctors to really feel special,” explained Diane Daniell, advertising sales manager in Aiken. This separation will enable medical professionals to come together in a social environment, strengthening bonds within the community while celebrating their achievements.
