Exciting Events in Aiken This Weekend!
Hi there, Aiken friends! If you’re looking for some fun activities to spice up your weekend, you’re in luck. This weekend is packed with exciting events that will surely entertain individuals and families alike. So grab your calendar and let’s dive into what’s happening!
Art in the Park – Celebrate Local Creativity
First up, this Sunday, October 26, from noon to 3:30 p.m., head over to Walton Heath Park located at the corner of Club Drive and Walton Heath Way. The Cedar Creek Community is hosting an Art in the Park event featuring a variety of stunning handmade crafts. You can find unique items like handmade jewelry, customized greeting cards, quilted items, vibrant watercolor paintings, and charming wood sculptures.
Should the weather be uncooperative, don’t worry! The event will take shelter in the Cedar Creek Community Center. It’s a perfect opportunity to support local artisans and maybe find that special gift you’ve been looking for.
Dink-A-Thon Pickleball Extravaganza
On Sunday, October 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Houndslake Country Club is hosting a thrilling Dink-A-Thon pickleball event. This is an exciting day for pickleball lovers as teams can bring as many players as they want—what fun! However, remember that at least two players from each team need to stay on the court for the full eight hours of dinking!
Feeling hungry? No problem! A delicious lunch of grilled burgers and hot dogs will be provided starting at 11 a.m. Your donations during the event will support our local Aiken pickleball champions as they prepare to travel to the national competition in Texas. Interested in some friendly competition or culinary delights? Call 803-221-8869 for more info!
