Perfect Weather for Golfing and Good Causes

On Monday, October 21, golf enthusiasts have not one but two exciting tournaments to choose from. The Playing Fore the Pets charity golf tournament, hosted by FOTAS (Friends of the Animals Society), is taking place at the scenic Woodside Country Club, located at 1000 Woodside Drive. Registration kicks off bright and early at 7:30 a.m., followed by the highly anticipated ball drop at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m.. It’s only $125 to register as a player, plus a fun opportunity to participate in the helicopter ball drop for just $10!

If you’re in the mood for another tournament, the Unity Golf Tournament by Umoja Village will also tee off on the same day at Houndslake Country Club, found at 901 Houndslake Drive. This tournament starts with registration at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.. Registration is $90 per person or $360 for a team of four. Talk about a flexible option for getting your golf fix!

Join the Community for Music and More

For music lovers, the Savannah River Stringband will be hosting a music jam this evening at 6:30 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 2724 Whiskey Road. Gather with fellow music aficionados and enjoy some good vibes!

And if you enjoy games, don’t miss Let’s Go Bingo! from 6 to 8 p.m. every Monday at Aiken Senior Life Services, 1310 E. Pine Log Road. A mere $5 cover charge allows you to join the fun with game cards priced from $1 each to $15-$25 for multiple plays!

Art and History Enthusiasts Take Note!

The African Roots — Gullah Fruit Exhibit is opening with a reception this evening, October 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Center for African American History, Art, and Culture, 120 York St. N.E.
