Deadly Highway Incident in Greenville County: Coroner Identifies the Deceased Driver

On Thursday, moments after the break of dawn, local law enforcement officers received a distress call at around 6:15 a.m. to the area of Frontage Road and Patewood Drive. Once on the scene, the officers found a horrifying sight – a vehicle upturned and crashed into the Patewood Bridge underpass.

Tragically, the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene. The impact of the accident was such that there were no survivors to host viable rescue operations.
