Weather Forecast: Pleasant Days Ahead with a Chance of Rain
To start off this week, get ready for a partly cloudy morning, transitioning to an overcast afternoon. The high will hit around 84°F, with a gentle breeze from the southwest at 10-15 mph, making it a sweet day for outdoor adventures. By evening, temperatures will dip down to a comfy 61°F, as the winds change direction. So if you’re planning on heading out, grab a light sweater for the cool down!
On a side note, be aware that there’s a chance of severe weather later in the week. The Aiken County Public School District has announced an Asynchronous Learning Day on April 22 due to these weather forecasts. Richmond County Schools will also have e-learning days, so students can stay safe and learn from home!
Community Events: Get Ready to Join the Fun!

Our beloved Hopelands Concert Series is back in full swing every Monday, running all the way to June 30! If you’re a music lover, you won’t want to miss the Whiskey Business Band that’s performing on April 21 at 6:30 p.m. Bring along your lawn chairs, blankets, and a tasty picnic dinner. Non-alcoholic drinks are totally welcome. And don’t forget, if it rains, you can check the rain-out hotline at 803-643-4661 for updates on where to find the shows. Parking is available at the Green Boundary Club.
But that’s not all! On April 21 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Aiken Women in Black and Moms Demand Action will hold a Vigil for Peace and Nonviolence on Whiskey Road, right across from Fresh Market. It’s a great way for community members to come together and advocate for a peaceful future, and everyone is welcome to join.
If you’re looking for something more relaxed, stop by Aiken Senior Life Services for Let’s Go Bingo every Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Just a $5 cover charge and game cards ranging from $1 to $25 will get you into the action!
Seizing the Moment with Arts and Culture
Mark your calendars for April 22—there’s a couple of delightful events you won’t want to miss. At 4 p.m., **Story Time in the Gardens** takes place on the Rye Patch lawn, where kids can enjoy stories in the beautiful outdoors. Remember to bring a chair or blanket for comfort! Later that evening at 7 p.m., the Sharp Dance Company will showcase their talent at the USCA’s Etherredge Center. Tickets are priced at $40.

Looking for family-friendly activities? Enjoy free visits to the Savannah River Site Museum anytime from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays through Saturdays!
